Monument proposals from 2017 Citywide Exhibition

This data describes 4500 proposals for monument collected from Philadelphia residents and visitors during a citywide exhibition in Autumn, 2017. The proposals were gathered at more than 10 sites throughout the city. Each proposal was transcribed and analyzed by the Monument Lab team, and is identified with the location of the proposed monument. The dataset also includes the age and home zip code of the creator of each proposal. The research team produced a Report to the City of their summary findings presented to the Mayor and all the city commissioners, and made available in library branches throughout the city.
