The budget data has beene extracted from PDF files of the budget in briefs from the City of Philadelphia as well as parsing scripts to convert them to machine-readable CSV files.
A web application to explore parking violation trends across Philadelphia during that time. Data ranges from 2012 to 2017 and is presented on a monthly basis. The dashboard includes the number of tickets, total revenue, most common ticket locations, tickets by hour, tickets by zip code, hourly ticket by weekday, ticket density map, and summaries of types of tickets and issuing agencies.
An open-source, interactive visualization of shooting incidents in Philadelphia, updated daily with public data from shooting victims, homicides, and court records. Includes a map with locations, heat map, and hot spots as well as graphs and the ability to search by address. The data is available for 2015 to the current year.
Fair Measure is an independent research project that compares City of Philadelphia real estate assessments against an independent estimate of the property value based on the same public records that the City uses. The data is based on actual property sales, City property records, City licenses and inspections data, and public mapping data. The web site also include guidance on how to file for an appeal of your property assessment.
This is a map of trails in Pennypack Park, Lorimer Park and Pennypack Trust located in Northeast Philadelphia and Montgomery County, PA. Trails were identified and collected using common GPS watches (Garmin, Polar, etc) GPX data and verifying trails visually using high res aerial imagery to accurately adjust to trails.
